We would like to invite you on July 17th starting at 1:00 pm to this year’s Summer Festival on the grounds of Schloss Thiergarten. Our students and their teachers have put together a wonderful program and new play stations have been prepared for the children.
NEW:
This year we would like to offer a buffet, and we kindly ask all families to contribute something. We welcome salads, finger food, antipasti, cakes, or other dishes that are easy to eat. Paper plates, knives, and forks will be provided.
In addition, the school will offer iced coffee for parents as well as iced chocolate for parents and children this year. The corresponding vouchers can again be purchased in advance.
There will once again be activity cards for the children. We have come up with new games and hands-on stations and look forward to a varied day with you and your children.
We kindly ask you to sign up on the food sign-up list, so that we can take good care of everyone’s needs 😊:

On the night of July 9th into July 10th, our students will camp out on the school grounds. A letter with all important information will be sent to parents separately.
Afternoon care will take place as usual this Thursday for students who are regularly enrolled. Afternoon courses will not take place. If you would like to additionally register your child for afternoon care until 5:00 pm, a fee of €10.00 will be charged.
At 5:00 pm, we will all meet at school and our campout will begin.
Please do not send your children with too many sweets or sugary drinks.
Caffeinated beverages, as well as cell phones and smartwatches, are not permitted.
If the weather is nice, we would like to give the children the opportunity to cool off with water. Could you please pack swimwear and an extra towel for your child? We wish all our campers lots of fun, good weather, and a pleasant night in the tent.
For dinner, the children will have pizza. The contribution for food and drinks is per child €7.50 and will be debited from your account together with the other amounts.
- School will end on Friday, July 10th, between 9:00 and 10:30 am. Therefore, we will not be offering lunch on this day. Please notify Mrs. Erath if you need childcare from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm: s@pgs.arche-twi.com

On July 15th, our students in grades 1 through 4 will attend a morning performance of the play „Mutabor – Das Märchen von Kalif Storch“ (Mutabor – The Tale of Caliph Stork) at the Eremitage.
Transportation to and from the venue will be by bus. The costs for admission and the bus will be announced and debited from your account in August. We will be back at school for lunch. Please note that the bus costs must be paid even if your child does not participate, as these expenses are non-refundable

On Friday, July 24th, 2026, our 4th grade students will have the opportunity to experience a very special project day. We have been invited to visit the Medical Campus at

On Friday, July 24th, 2026, our 4th grade students will have the opportunity to experience a very special project day. We have been invited to visit the Medical Campus at Klinikum Bayreuth. There, we will attend a short lecture and, for example, marvel at a skeleton model. Afterward, there will be a breakfast break. The children will then rotate in groups through three skills lab rooms, accompanied by medical students. There they will be able to try out various pieces of equipment and prepare an ointment in the „Hexenküche“ (witch’s kitchen). The GERT age simulation suit will also be available.
For lunch, the children will eat in the cafeteria; of course, you are also welcome to pack your own lunch for your child.
The cost of bus transportation will be announced and debited from your account in August. Please note that these costs must be paid even if your child does not participate, as these expenses are non-refundable.

Grade 4:
For 4th grade students and their families, the farewell celebration will begin at 11:00 am.
Grades 1 through 3:
For grades 1 through 3, the school year ends at 10:30 am with the distribution of report cards.
- Parents who need childcare from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm must register their child with Mrs. Erath by July 17th (s@pgs.arche-twi) at the latest.
No afternoon care will be offered on this day.
