On July 10^th all students will meet between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m. at the BTS sports complex for our annual Bundesjugendspiele.

The entrance to the sports field is located at the BTS parking lot:

99 Gärten, Building No. 19, 95445 Bayreuth

Please make sure to drop your child off at the BTS sports complex
between 7:45 and no later than 8:00 a.m.

Please note: There will be no teacher supervision at the BTS site before 7:45 a.m. Children who normally take the school shuttle bus will be dropped off directly at the BTS sports complex that day.

Please ensure your child brings enough to drink. After the Bundesjugendspiele, all students will be transported back to the school grounds by bus and can be picked up there at regular dismissal time.
Afternoon care will also run as usual. In case of heavy rain, the Bundesjugendspiele will be canceled, and regular classes will take place at school instead.If the weather is extremely hot, we ask parents to check their email starting at 9:30 a.m. for possible early dismissal due to heat.

The Bundesjugendspiele is a sports event initiated by the President of Germany and takes place annually at schools in Germany and abroad.Students are expected to demonstrate their best efforts in athletic disciplines. Our school will focus on track and field (throwing, running, and jumping).

Students’ performances will be assessed using a standardized point system. Depending on the number of points earned, students will receive either a participation, achievement, or honors certificate on the last day of school.
